During my journey at AGU, the faculty did an outstanding job in passing on their work experience to us. They are dedicated to ensure that you understand and are doing well in your courses. I am grateful for all the amazing people that have made my university experience perfect. A special thanks to Dr. Wael Rashdan, who has not just been an amazing dean and professor to our college, but also a person who believed in us and pushed us to strive to do our best.
Collaboratively working with my colleagues, motivating each other, and pushing forward to reach our final goal is meaningful. The skills and experiences I gained from my professors will serve as the right tools to success in my career.
I would like to thank all my professors and colleagues for those great moments and for the support from my family members who made this journey valuable.
My gratitude goes to university professors and AGU staff, who have always helped and supported me through my academic journey. I truly appreciate their time spent helping me in many occasions. AGU has enabled me to learn and grow stronger not just academically. As a working student university timing helped me to balance between work and studies.
I chose Al Ghurair University because of the professionalism and flexibility of the faculty. The courses are interesting and interactive, the faculty are very helpful and supportive. I want to dedicate my graduation to the Dean of Architecture and Design college Dr. Wael Rushdan for being very understanding, supportive and caring.
Being a student at Al Ghurair University was an extraordinary experience that I feel honoured to have in my life. I got the chance to meet new people, study the major I have always wanted to study and developed new skills and qualifications that I’m proud to add to my career. By studying there I was able to create strong connections with my professors, colleagues and students from other departments. I was also able to learn how to be responsible by getting my work done on time, develop a strong foundation of knowledge, learn how to manage my time and priorities, in addition to growing as a person.
I graduated from AGU and earned my degree due to the hard work, and to the cooperation and support of Dr. Wael Rashdan, Dr. Ahmed Afifi and Engineer Orwa Lakis. They are with us in this learning journey guiding us in our projects and assignments. I have been taught good practices to excel in my field. I chose this university due to its reputation, well planned curriculum, which met the international standards. My all success credit goes to this valuable university.
These past 4 years I spent at Al Ghurair University were full of moments to remember. All the obstacles and challenges I faced, I learned from them. Each semester I grew with knowledge and experience. Each friendship I made along the way, I will remember for the rest of my life. I could have never asked for a better company that I had during these 4 years than the ones I spent this time with, from faculty to colleagues and friends and the community as whole. For those memories I say thank you for leaving a mark that will last forever.
Being a student at AlGhurair University improved my personality. I gained confidence through knowledge skills and capabilities building.
The academic faculty were helpful, joyful and passionate about delivering the best knowledge to improve our performance promoting world class excellence in the field of interior design.
When I started studying this program, it was not easy to learn and practice new skills especially that I was a scientific section student in school, and everything was completely different.
However, day by day, I learned new skills and I improved the skills that I had since I was young with the support of the faculty and the way the courses are designed. I loved what I was studying during my 4 years journey at AGU and I am happy with the point I reached now in the age of 21.
I joined AGU in 2016, and it has become my second home. Today I am leaving it as an interior designer with the help of my faculty especially Dr. Wael Rashdan, Dr. Ahmed Afifi and the Teacher Assistant Orwa Lakis. Now I graduated with enough knowledge that I learned in a short time and great experiences that will help me in my future career. It was an amazing time here that I will miss for the rest of my life.
At AGU it is different. You have friendly professors, staff, and friends. Our President Dr Basem Alzahabi was always keen to make sure that we were happy whether in education or activities. University life was the best. Meeting people from different backgrounds, cultures and nationalities has all brought us as one at AGU. Last but not the least, if it were not for the support of our professors, we would not have been where we are now.
I am grateful for all the opportunities that were offered to me and my colleagues when we were able to work closely with the faculty members to solve design challenges and for all the experience that I gained through the workshops and seminars that AGU organized. At AGU, I got to meet students from different cultures backgrounds as they came together from different parts of the world and participated in an international workshop with a very enriching experience.
Spending 5 years at AGU equipped me with the knowledge and skills that made me a successful man today. Although it was a journey full of ups and downs, AGU has a great way of communicating with students and empower them to deliver to their full potential. The staff and faculty do not consider us as students who just want to study and graduate, but rather as part of the big AGU family.
During the past 5 years at AGU, I was able to develop my skills, motivation, and interest due to the professors who guided us efficiently and encouraged us from the beginning to understand how to create, enhance, and approach each design adequately. For that reason, I am grateful to all my professors who assisted and supported me in providing better insight within myself from the first year of architecture degree till the end.
At AGU, I had the honor to learn from professors who believed in me and pushed me to exceed my limits. Thus, I would like to thank them for always making sure we were aware of the next steps and refused to let us fall through the cracks.
The competitive and educational environment at Al Ghurair University developed the person who I am today as these years have showed me how capable I am of accomplishing my goals.
Fall 2015 marks the beginning of a journey of success, the day I started my first semester, as an architecture student, is the day my dream plan was in action.
It is with no question that I have had the most skillful, creative, and brilliant professors at AGU who have always been there to support and share with me and my colleagues their infinite knowledge to make me who I am today, Architect Lubna Alawadhi.
My appreciation goes to AGU for the great experience and for all the knowledge and skills I acquired in Interior Design. Thankfully, I received an offer letter in the company where I completed my internship as my knowledge and skills were up to their requirements. All credits go to my great and helpful professors and AGU management.
I am an AGU graduate with a BA in Interior Design. The enriching knowledge that I gained at AGU coupled with the hands-on experience allowed me to be a good performer at my job as a project engineer in Al Mazroui group. I therefore highly appreciate all the valuable days spent at AGU and all the support I was given.
Studying Interior Design at AGU was one of the best things I have ever done. This experience allowed me to meet new friends, get my degree with a high GPA and most importantly, secure a full-time job.
After 200 hours of my internship at Decorum company, I was granted a full-time job at the company. I therefore, encourage the soon-to-be graduates to consider how they can transition their summer or part-time internships into bigger full-time opportunities.
I joined Al Ghurair University in 2006 to study e-commerce, as this specialization is related to the nature of my work in Dubai Municipality. I thank the faculty members who have played a great role in providing me with the required knowledge that helped me become a successful and prominent employee in the leadership of Dubai Municipality team.
The Computer Science & Engineering program is one of the best programs offered at AGU with an amazing and friendly faculty who have shaped us into confident individuals.
I would like to stress on the fact that AGU is a multicultural university and that is what appealed to me the most.
One of the most interesting things that I enjoyed in architecture is learning about the human-being experience and acknowledging how architecture can serve it. Through this program, you start to realize that the word “existence” is intertwined with “space and place” and architecture has a lot to do with this.
I am thankful for being able to deal with the architecture environment and for my colleagues and professors because each one of them made me learn more and somehow, they were a part of the self-realization process.
Studying Interior design in AGU allowed me to gain theoretical experience in Interior Design with hints and keys to apply practically after graduation.
In addition, the research and studies that we conducted in the college, beside the advices and lectures of the professors, improved our knowledge and our confidence to work and present our work appropriately.
